Boots Opticians is seeking an Optometrist to deliver exceptional patient care using the latest technology. You will lead clinics, triage, and mentor colleagues while supporting community eye health.

The role offers paths into enhanced services, clinical leadership, and potential franchise-like development within the Boots Opticians network. GOC registration or status within 6 months and NHS performer number are required, along with strong communication and teamwork.

What you'll be doing

As an Optometrist at Boots, you'll play a key role in delivering brilliant patient care - using the latest tech, working alongside experienced colleagues, and supporting your community with clinical excellence. Whether you're leading a clinic, responding to triage, or mentoring others, no two days are the same, and your growth never stops.

Key responsibilities

• Providing enhanced services, from triage support to advanced assessments, depending on store needs


• Offering clinical support to colleagues on the shop floor


• Collaborating with external healthcare professionals


• Keeping your clinical knowledge up to date and sharing it with others


• Playing a key role in your store's leadership team, bringing energy and insight to every shift

What you'll need to have (our must-haves)

• We're looking for Optometrists who are confident, compassionate, and always focused on doing the right thing for patients.


• GOC registered (or expecting to be within 6 months)


• NHS performer number (or working towards it)


• Excellent communication and organisation skills


• A genuine interest in patient care and team collaboration

It would be great if you also have

• Experience supporting enhanced services


• A strong understanding of local clinical networks
