Inspired Recruitment Group is recruiting an Optometrist for an independent practice near Aldershot, Hampshire. The role offers a salary up to 70k, no Sundays or Bank Holidays, and one Saturday off each month, supporting balance between career, clinical development and life outside of work.

Qualifications

• GOC-registered Optometrist with a BSc (Hons) in Optometry or equivalent qualification.
• Community practice experience a bonus; GRR or Post Cataract optional.
• Strong patient communication and collaborative team skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out comprehensive eye examinations with clear clinical recommendations.
• Manage contact lens appointments and clinics such as dry eye.
• Use OCT, fundus photography, tonometry and visual fields for assessment.
• Advise patients on visual health, lifestyle and preventative care.
• Work with Dispensing Opticians to ensure seamless patient journeys.
• Maintain accurate clinical records per GOC standards.
• Participate in CPD, governance and ongoing professional development.

Independent Practice – 55k – 70k DOE – No Sundays or Bank Holidays – 1 Saturday Off Per Month

At Inspired Recruitment Group, we’re working with a well-established independent optical practice near Aldershot that is looking for an Optometrist to join its friendly, close-knit team.

With a salary of up to 70k, no Sunday or Bank Holiday working and one Saturday off each month, the role also offers a great balance between career, clinical development and life outside of work.

The Opportunity

Working alongside an experienced clinical and dispensing team, you’ll have the time and support to provide a high standard of care throughout the patient journey.

The practice is looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team and takes pride in delivering thorough, professional and personable eye care.

There is also plenty of opportunity to continue developing clinically, with CPD, ongoing training and career progression actively supported.

The Role

As Optometrist, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out comprehensive eye examinations and providing clear clinical recommendations
• Contact lens appointments and additional clinics such as dry eye, depending on your qualifications and experience
• Using diagnostic technology including OCT, fundus photography, tonometry and visual fields
• Advising patients on their visual health, lifestyle factors and preventative eye care
• Working closely with Dispensing Opticians and the wider team to provide a seamless patient journey
• Maintaining accurate clinical records and working in accordance with GOC standards
• Participating in clinical governance and maintaining your CPD
• Helping the practice continue to grow through excellent patient care and communication

About You

You’ll need to be a GOC-registered Optometrist with a BSc (Hons) in Optometry or equivalent qualification. Previous experience within community practice would be beneficial, alongside additional accreditations such as GRR or Post Cataract, although these are not essential.

Hours & Salary

This is a full-time, permanent position based on 38.875 hours per week.

Salary is between 55,000 and 70,000, depending on your experience.

One of the real attractions of this opportunity is the working pattern – there is no Sunday or Bank Holiday working, and you’ll also benefit from one Saturday off each month.
