Infinitesima in Abingdon, UK is seeking a Production Engineer to build, integrate and test precise optical, electro‑mechanical and photonic assemblies central to our metrology technology. You will work with engineers and scientists to resolve manufacturing challenges, improve processes, and ensure products meet the highest standards.

This role emphasizes hands-on build expertise in a low‑volume, high‑value environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in production engineering for high-value, complex systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience integrating and testing optical/electro‑mechanical assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and test complex optical, cabling, and electro‑mechanical sub‑assemblies to spec.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Drive process improvements and update standards and controls.
• Lead system integration activities and ensure manufacturing readiness.
• Mentor colleagues and support BoM readiness and health and safety.
