Known for innovation, The Independent was the first British newspaper to add a Saturday magazine, give photography equal prestige as news copy, challenge the Westminster lobby system, switch to a compact 'tabloid' format, launch a concise quality compact paper, and successfully transform into a fully digital publication.
With a global reach of over 100 million monthly visitors, The Independent continues to expand through various reader-supported platforms including TV, eCommerce, indy100, and subscriptions. Our main offices are in London and New York, supported by an international editorial team.
