Job summary

STMicroelectronics in Edinburgh, Grenoble and Crolles seeks a technician to support optical and characterization laboratories. You will contribute to technical, financial, and administrative tasks across multiple sites, ensuring data availability and equipment readiness.

You will help implement quality and safety standards, participate in internal audits, and coordinate with internal teams and external partners to support various customer projects.

Qualifications

• Technician or bachelor degree compatible with a work-study in a management, technical or laboratory-related field.
• Experience with Office 365 tools (Word, Excel, Power BI).
• Ability to adapt to internal software tools and strong organizational skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills and team spirit.

Responsibilities

• Technical and laboratory support to ensure availability of characterization data and support process development, design activities and customer projects.
• Financial management: initiate and track purchase requests and analyze quarterly expenses.
• Administrative management: inventory, organize and track equipment and assets using internal tools; maintain and update tools.
• Quality and safety: help define and implement quality and safety standards; participate in 5S and safety audits.
• Coordination and communication: interact with internal teams across sites and with subcontractors and suppliers.
