Job summary

Duncan & Todd Opticians & Hearing Care on Belmont Street in Aberdeen is seeking a Customer Care Assistant for a full-time, 6-month fixed-term contract with potential extension. You will be the first point of contact for patients, helping with frame selection, measurements and NHS paperwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in an optical environment is preferred, with full training provided.
• Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Good problem solving, prioritisation and deadline management.

Responsibilities

• Participate in handover with the Optometrist and patient to confirm prescriptions.
• Advise patients on frame and lens selections based on prescription and lifestyle.
• Take accurate measurements for lens selection.
• Conduct fittings and adjustments of spectacles.
• Assist with stock control and orders.
• Handle patient queries via phone, email or in person.
• Maintain branch appointment diary and NHS paperwork.
• Ensure GDPR and NHS guidance compliance.
• General housekeeping to keep the branch presentable.
• Other ad hoc duties as required.
