Job summary

Flame Health Optometry is seeking an Assistant Manager for an established optical practice in Saffron Walden, West Essex. You will work closely with the Store Manager to run the practice and deliver an excellent customer experience.

You will motivate and develop the team, support sales targets, manage rotas and training, and ensure high standards. In the Store Manager's absence you will lead the team to maintain smooth operations.

Job Overview

Flame Health Optometry have been instructed by our client to recruit an Assistant Manager for an established optical practice in Saffron Walden, West Essex, offering £32,000–£35,000 per annum.

This position would suit an experienced Optical Advisor, Senior Optical Advisor, Supervisor or Assistant Manager who is ready to progress within optical retail management.

About the Job

Working closely with the Store Manager, you will support the day-to-day running of the practice and help deliver an excellent customer experience.

Your responsibilities will include motivating, coaching and developing colleagues, supporting sales and commercial targets, maintaining high standards, assisting with rotas, training and team organisation, and handling customer queries professionally.

You will also contribute to stock management and wider operational duties, while leading by example and helping to create a positive working environment. When the Store Manager is absent, you will step up to lead the team and ensure the practice continues to operate effectively.
