Job summary

Specsavers in the United Kingdom is offering an Apprenticeship to become an Optical Assistant. You’ll earn a full-time wage while training for 15-18 months across our stores in Stourport, Kidderminster Coventry Street and Kidderminster Sainsbury’s.

This role develops customer care, eyewear knowledge and pre-test procedures with a supportive team, alongside structured training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths at grades 9–4 (A*-C) or equivalent qualification.
• EU residence for at least 3 years with the right to work in the UK.
• Not currently enrolled in another government-funded course.

Our store

This role offers the opportunity to work across our Specsavers stores in Stourport, Kidderminster Coventry Street and Kidderminster Sainsbury’s, giving you exposure to a variety of customers, colleagues and working environments. Each store is supported by friendly, experienced teams who are passionate about delivering outstanding customer care and helping people find the right eye and hearing care solutions. Working across multiple locations provides great variety in your day-to-day role, the chance to develop your skills and knowledge, and the opportunity to build strong relationships with both customers and colleagues across the local Specsavers network. You'll be part of a supportive team culture where collaboration, development and excellent service are at the heart of everything we do.

Your on-the-job training will sit alongside structured learning and at the end of the 15-18 months as an apprentice, you’ll be a fully-fledged Optical Assistant.

Who is this Apprenticeship for?
