Specsavers in Royal Tunbridge Wells is offering an Optical Assistant Apprenticeship. This is a great way to begin a career in optics while earning a full-time wage and gaining hands-on training.

The role involves welcoming customers, booking eye tests, pre-screening patients, giving style advice, measuring frames and handling calls. You will work 32 hours over 5 days, including weekends, at £8.65–£11.05 per hour with Specsavers Perks and related benefits.

• Frontline customer service experience is beneficial.
• Friendly, proactive attitude and good communication skills.
• Able to work as part of a team in a busy retail environment.

Who is this Apprenticeship for?

If this is still sounding like a bit of you, we do need you to have a few skills to get started as an Optical Assistant Apprentice.

• Individuals with GSCE Maths at Grade 9-4 (A*-C), or an equivalent level qualification
• Individuals who have lived in the EU for 3 years or more, with the right to work in the UK
