Job summary

Specsavers in Greater London is seeking an Optical Assistant Apprentice to join our store team. You will welcome customers, book eye tests, and help with frame fitting while learning optics and retail skills in a fast-paced environment.

The apprenticeship offers full-time hours (40 hrs/week), practical training, and progression opportunities within Specsavers’ expanding optical network across the UK.

Qualifications

• Welcoming customers into store and delivering friendly service.
• Booking in eye tests and scheduling appointments.
• Pre-screening patients to ensure readiness for tests.
• Providing style advice and frame recommendations.
• Accurate measurement of frames and fittings.
• Handling phone inquiries from customers.

Who is this Apprenticeship for?

If this is still sounding like a bit of you, we do need you to have a few skills to get started as an Optical Assistant Apprentice.

• Individuals with GSCE Maths at Grade 9-4 (A*-C), or an equivalent level qualification
• Individuals who have lived in the EU for 3 years or more, with the right to work in the UK
