Job summary

Specsavers in Whitehaven is inviting applications for an Optical Assistant Apprentice. You’ll join a friendly team, welcome customers, book eye tests, pre-screen patients and offer style advice while learning on the job.

This full-time apprenticeship offers a pay of £8.50 per hour, a 38.75-hour week including one weekend day, pension enrollment, and access to Specsavers Perks and WeCare support as you start a rewarding career in optics.

Who is this Apprenticeship for?

If this is still sounding like a bit of you, we do need you to have a few skills to get started as an Optical Assistant Apprentice.

• Individuals with GSCE Maths at Grade 9-4 (A*-C), or an equivalent level qualification
• Individuals who have lived in the EU for 3 years or more, with the right to work in the UK

It’s essential that you haven’ve previously worked in the Optical Sector. Before applying, please check that you are able to travel to the store location on a daily basis.
