Job summary

Specsavers in Castleford is seeking a caring Optical Assistant who can warmly welcome customers and guide them in choosing eyewear. You’ll be supported by experienced Opticians and Technicians and have access to ongoing training and development.

We offer a salary of £26,925 per year (Cert 3 £27,967; Cert 4 £29,532), full-time 40 hours (weekend included), with part-time options. Benefits include pension contributions, staff discounts, WeCare and Headspace.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a fast-paced customer service environment
• Experience in optics or Audiology business
• Basic knowledge/experience of optical and/or Audiology terminology.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers in-store with courteous service.
• Support customers with optical/audiology terminology guidance.
• Participate in training and development opportunities.
