Qualifications

• At least 12 months’ experience working in UK opticians.
• Experience dispensing spectacles to diverse patients.

• Dispensing spectacles to patients with a wide range of prescriptions.
• Helping patients select frames and lenses suited to lifestyle, needs and budget.
• Providing knowledgeable advice on lens options, coatings and upgrades.
• Building strong relationships with patients and delivering a personal service.
• Supporting the clinical and dispensing teams in a busy double-testing environment.
• Contributing towards practice performance, including conversion and dispensing values.
• Supporting colleagues and taking on additional responsibilities as your career develops.

The Role

As an Optical Assistant, you’ll play an important part in delivering an exceptional patient experience while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
