Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking an Optical Assistant/Dispensing Assistant in Bexleyheath, Kent. The role is based primarily in Bexleyheath with some support required for Sevenoaks and Chislehurst, offering a long-standing independent practice environment with excellent patient care.

You will dispense premium eyewear, support patients throughout their journey, and work with experienced staff. Monday–Friday 9:00–17:30, Saturday 9:00–14:00, with Saturday paid as a full day for annual leave.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Optical Assistant or Dispensing Assistant is essential.
• Confidently supporting patients through their journey, including dispensing and frame styling.
• Strong attention to detail and a professional approach.
• Friendly team player who works well in an independent practice.

Responsibilities

• Support patients from reception through to dispensing.
• Dispense a wide range of premium eyewear and sunglasses.

full-time Optical Assistant / Dispensing Assistant

The role is primarily based in

although the practice would ideally like someone who is happy to support their

Sevenoaks

Chislehurst

locations from time to time. They are, however, flexible for the right person if they are only able to work from one practice.

Optical Assistant - The Role

• Primarily based in Bexleyheath with the opportunity to support Sevenoaks and Chislehurst
• Flexible for the right candidate if they are only able to work from one practice
• Work within a modern independent practice offering exceptional patient care
• Support patients throughout their entire journey, from reception through to dispensing
• Dispense a wide range of premium eyewear and sunglasses
• Work alongside experienced Dispensing Opticians and a knowledgeable, supportive team

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 9:00am - 5:30pm
• Saturday: 9:00am - 2:00pm

Saturday forms part of the normal working week. Although the practice closes at 2:00pm, you are paid for a full working day and it counts as a full day for annual leave purposes.

Salary and Benefits

£24,000 to £29,000 depending on experience
