CrossReach Trading Ltd. is seeking a Relief Care Worker to support residents at South Beach House in Ardrossan. You will provide personal care, assist with daily activities, and help maintain independence within a caring, community-focused environment.
The role offers flexibility to choose shifts, with a strong emphasis on gentle, person-centred care and teamwork within the CrossReach ethos.
Set on Ardrossan seafront, with views towards the Isle of Arran, South Beach House provides residential care for up to 39 older people. The home offers a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment, with a strong focus on individual choice and involvement. Residents are encouraged and supported to maintain their interests and connections with the local community, with regular activities, outings and social opportunities forming part of everyday life.
As a Relief Care Worker with CrossReach, you'll help maintain high standards of care by providing additional support when our services need it.
You'll provide practical and personal care, help people maintain their independence and contribute to continuity of care. Joining our Relief team gives you the freedom to choose shifts that suit your availability, while playing an important role in delivering quality care across our services.
You'll be reliable, adaptable and comfortable working with different people and routines. You'll communicate clearly, work well with colleagues and take a responsible approach to providing safe care.
Previous care experience is welcome, but it's not essential. We're interested in people who demonstrate patience, good judgement and a genuine willingness to learn. If you don't already hold an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, you'll be supported to work towards achieving it as part of your development with CrossReach.
You'll need to be comfortable providing personal care and able to adapt to the needs of the service during the shifts you accept.
You'll also need to meet the relevant PVG and SSSC registration requirements.
As part of the CrossReach Relief team, you'll make an important contribution to maintaining quality care when additional staffing support is needed. You'll be joining an organisation that values compassion, respect and the individuality of every person receiving support.
