Ophthalmology Technician

Nuffield Health Cambridge Hospital | Ophthalmology - Outpatient | Bank Contract | Part-time

Salary: Up to £16.00 per hour, depending on experience

We are seeking an Ophthalmology Technician at Cambridge Hospital to support our busy ophthalmic consultants by performing tests and assisting in clinics.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing patient clinics.
  • Perform HFA, I-profiler, and OCT testing during clinics and as needed.
  • Support pre-operative assessments for cataract surgery.
  • Maintain medical records according to protocol.
  • Ensure patient privacy, dignity, and safeguarding.
  • Conduct visual acuity checks.
  • Perform visual field testing, biometry, OCT scanning, and corneal topography.
Requirements:
  • Experience in testing patients with specialized ophthalmic equipment.
  • Experience in health and social care.
  • Preferably an NVQ qualification.
