Job summary

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is inviting applications for a Specialty Doctor in Ophthalmology to support Medical Retina and General Ophthalmology services. The role involves 10 PAs per week and outpatient work across Stoke Mandeville Hospital and surrounding sites.

The post includes General ophthalmology clinics, Medical Retina clinics and teaching responsibilities for junior staff and medical students, with duties in clinical governance and service development within an NHS environment.

Qualifications

• Clinical duties include General ophthalmology and Medical Retina clinics.
• Teaching and training of junior staff and medical students.
• Participation in Clinical Governance and wider hospital activities.

Responsibilities

• General ophthalmology responsibilities.
• Outpatient clinics at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, including predominantly Medical Retina and General Ophthalmology.
• Support for Nurses, Support and Admin staff.
• Other care of inpatients or outpatients.
• Clinical and other administration as required by agreement.
• Teaching and training of Junior staff and undergraduates (Medical Students).
• Participation in Clinical Governance.
