Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is recruiting an experienced Ophthalmology Consultant to join a high‑quality eye service across outpatient clinics, diagnostics and surgical pathways. This locum role requires at least six months of NHS experience and offers flexibility within NHS and private settings.

You will contribute to cataract care, general ophthalmology, and subspecialty input as needed. You will work within multidisciplinary teams, maintain high standards of care, and participate in governance, audits

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• Minimum six months recent NHS experience.
• Strong ophthalmology competence across general ophthalmology.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality outpatient, diagnostic and surgical ophthalmology services including cataract surgery.
• Provide subspecialty input where appropriate to support service needs.
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth patient pathways.
