Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a substantive glaucoma and medical retina consultant to expand the ophthalmology team. Job summary
Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals Ophthalmology Department is looking for one substantive glaucoma consultant and one substantive medical retina consultant to expand and complete our current team.
Ophthalmology clinics take place every day at Ashford Hospital & St Peter's Hospital, with additional diagnostic clinics at Woking Community Hospital. Day case surgery takes place in dedicated ophthalmic theatres at Ashford Hospital with paediatric and other selected surgeries at St Peter's Hospital.
You will be expected to develop and maintain a high standard of practice and take an active role in all activities of the Department, including teaching and audit. The timetable will include both F2F and virtual clinics with a regular theatre list.

The post-holder will also participate in the consultant on-call rota shared with the Royal Surrey County Hospital (1:18 weeks) and the local ophthalmology consultant of the week rota based at Ashford Hospital.
