Job summary

Optegra Bradford Hospital seeks a Bank Ward Nurse to join the ophthalmic surgical team. You will deliver skilled clinical and technical assistance in the operating theatre, and provide peri-operative and post-operative care. The role covers shifts at York and Wetherby clinics, with compensation up to £30 per hour based on experience. You must be registered (NMC/ODP) and experienced in ophthalmology.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner.
• Current NMC/ODP registration with no restrictions.
• Ophthalmology or perioperative care qualification.
• Minimum 1 year Ophthalmology Theatre experience.
• Knowledge of private and hospital operating settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled clinical and technical assistance as part of the operating theatre team.
• Deliver peri-operative and post-operative care within the ophthalmic surgical pathway.
• Support surgical cases and ensure patient safety throughout the theatre process.
