Job summary

Optegra Eye Health Care is seeking an experienced Ward Nurse for our private York hospital. You will participate in all ophthalmic services including surgery, providing pre-, peri-, and post-operative care and assisting with minor procedures.

Qualifications

• RGN with NMC registration or ODP with HCP registration.
• Minimum of two years post-qualification experience.
• Experience with day surgery / operating theatre / outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Use clinical judgement to identify issues in the patient pathway requiring Consultant input.
• Support Consultants and deliver excellent care during the clinical pathway.
• Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients and carers.
• Give clinical advice within your competency level.
• Administer drugs and treatments according to NMC guidelines.
