Job summary

Pulse Nursing is seeking a dedicated Theatre Nurse (Band 5) for Macclesfield, covering Recovery/Scrub/Anaesthetic roles. The role involves ophthalmic procedures within an NHS Trust, with flexible shifts and weekly pay. A supportive consultant and opportunities for development are offered.

Ideal candidates will be an RN with ophthalmic nursing experience, skilled in scrub/recovery/anesthetic care, and able to work collaboratively in a high-stakes surgical environment.

Qualifications

RN with valid nursing license.
Specialised training in ophthalmic nursing.
Experience in scrub, recovery or anaesthetic roles within theatre.
Strong knowledge of ophthalmic procedures and anaesthesia techniques.

Responsibilities

Prepare the operating theatre and ensure equipment is sterile.
Assist surgical team during ophthalmic procedures, maintaining sterility.
Administer anaesthesia and monitor patients' vitals during surgery.
Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients.
Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists and other healthcare professionals to deliver care.
Maintain accurate patient records.
Adhere to health and safety regulations and protocols.
