Job summary

Qualifications

• Two A-Levels at grade C or above or NVQ Level 3 / equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• To provide visual assessments including visual fields, visual acuity, pentacam and intra-ocular pressure (IOP) measurement for clinical decisions.
• Participate in research and medical audit projects as required.
• Perform administrative and clerical tasks for service efficiency.

Main duties of the job

You will be involved in undertaking pressure measurements, visual fields / visual acuity testing, Pentacam imaging and other clinical techniques essential to the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of ophthalmic disorders. Keen to learn new skills and take on new challenges then this post is for you, full training will be given.

Job responsibilities

• To perform administrative and clerical task as necessary for the efficiency of the service.

Person Specification

KNOWLEDGE

• Background knowledge of common eye disorders and eye related neurological conditions

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience within a similar field.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 A-Levels at grade C or above or NVQ Level 3 / equivalent experience.
