Job summary

Nuffield Health York Hospital is seeking an Ophthalmic Scrub Theatre Practitioner for a part-time role at 22.5 hours per week. The position includes weekend work and on-call duties, with a pro rata salary up to £39,750 depending on skills and experience.

You will be registered with NMC or HCPC, bring post-registration ophthalmic theatre experience, and work across multiple surgical specialties in a supportive, patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the appropriate professional body (NMC or HCPC).
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.
• Post-registration ophthalmic theatre experience and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a close-knit multidisciplinary theatre team.
• Work with consultants and professionals across specialties.
• Deliver high-quality patient care with state-of-the-art facilities.
• Supervise, support and develop junior staff as needed.
• Create clinically effective, evidence-based patient experiences.
• Interact well with ward colleagues to maintain continuity of care.
