Job summary

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Ophthalmic Nurse Injector and Triage Nurse to lead IVT injection clinics and assist in triage of ophthalmic emergencies. The role requires collaboration with consultants and the wider ophthalmology team to deliver high-quality patient care.

The post is part-time (22.5 hours) with travel between sites, salary band 6 (£39,959–£48,117 pro rata) and a commitment to professional development within a supportive NHS environment.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse Adult with valid NMC registration or suitable Ophthalmic qualification.
Nursing study degree or Ophthalmic equivalent.
Evidence of post registered Ophthalmic education.
Working towards Non medical prescribers qualification or willing to undertake
Consent Course

Responsibilities

Lead nurse-led intravitreal (IVT) injection clinics caring for AMD and retinal conditions.
Support triage of ophthalmic emergency patients with the specialist nursing team.
Work closely with a named Consultant Ophthalmologist for safe treatment and evaluation.
Participate in professional development, team meetings and service improvements.
