A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking an Ophthalmic Imaging Technician to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services. The role involves working with a multidisciplinary team to manage patient clinics and assist in ophthalmic examinations. This position offers the chance to contribute to community health and work within a supportive environment dedicated to patient care.
The Ophthalmic Imaging Technician will deliver a needs-led ophthalmology imaging service for adults and children. They will work as part of a multidisciplinary Departmental team to provide high-quality diagnostic images across a variety of ophthalmic sub-specialties within the Community Imaging Hub and Acute Hospital setting.
The post holder will effectively utilize their ophthalmic imaging knowledge, skills, and experience to competently manage a clinic list of patients without direct supervision, prioritizing when necessary and accommodating urgent referrals as appropriate under the direction of Clinicians and Registered Nurses.
The post holder will also assist Registered Nurses and Clinicians in the assessment, preparation, and delivery of care to patients undergoing ophthalmic examinations and minor procedures.
