Job summary

Optegra Eye Health Care in Manchester is seeking an experienced Healthcare Technician or HCA (Band 3) for a part-time role. The position requires 19 hours across 2 days, ideally with ward or theatre ophthalmic experience. You will join our amazing and supportive team at the Manchester Eye Hospital.

The role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care across outpatient and some clinical settings, working with other clinicians and optometrists. We offer competitive pay and a range of benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent required.
• Healthcare environment or ophthalmic sector experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support competency required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality patient care throughout visits.
• Assist with operating lists and pre/post-operative care.
• Perform diagnostic testing in clinic (Biometry, OCT, AScan, Visual fields, Pentacam, VA, IOP, Topography).
• Support patients on surgery days and handle enquiries with professionalism.
