Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 7 Ophthalmic Nurse Practitioner to join the Accident and Emergency Department and General Ophthalmology clinic. The postholder will assess and provide specialist ophthalmic nursing care, with potential progression to independent practice after training.
The role covers leadership of day-to-day department operations, audits, and education. Two posts exist: 1.0 WTE full-time and 0.64 WTE part-time, with a salary of £58,133–£65,261
Qualifications
- Degree level nursing qualification and active registration.
- Post-registration ophthalmic qualification or equivalent.
- Recognised clinical teaching qualification (mentorship).
- Management/leadership training or MSc preferred.
Responsabilités
- Lead the ophthalmic nursing team in the A&E and General Ophthalmology clinic.
- Provide specialist ophthalmic nursing advice and procedures.
- Progress to independent management of designated patients as Emergency Nurse Practitioner.
- Contribute to audits, risk assessments and training development.
