Inventory Operator
Role profile

Working in HP2 maintaining stock integrity over peak.

Primary purpose of the role

To manage the inventory control system, maintain product data, rectify miscalculations, review and analyse the results of operations, report findings to management, and make recommendations for improvement as necessary.

Key accountability areas
  1. Investigate problems and analyse root causes; develop performance reports and workable solutions.
  2. Ensure all Goods In queries are resolved and moved to location within 24 hours of receipt.
  3. Monitor and report all stock adjustments with reason codes.
  4. Create data and information to support decisions on moving slow-moving or old stock lines to high-level bulk locations.
  5. Regularly review warehouse layout, at least monthly, to optimize space for wholesale, retail, and e-commerce operations.
  6. Support seasonal planning by forecasting and adjusting stock placement for peaks and troughs, ensuring fast-moving products are accessible and slow/non-moving stock is removed.
  7. Monitor and report all On Hold statuses (QC/damage/lost) as required.
  8. Assist with full or cycle counts as needed.
  9. Support stock review and consolidation processes.
General responsibilities
  • Understand and comply with all relevant company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company information.
  • Promote professionalism, good working relationships, and a positive company image.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards, including OHSAS18001.
  • Follow ISO 9001:2008 quality assurance procedures.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and secure work areas.
  • Challenge unauthorized presence on site when appropriate.
  • Participate in development training to meet Investors in People standards.
