Job summary

VolkerHighways is seeking an Operative to join our Traffic Management team in the Clutton, Bristol area. You will install, maintain and remove traffic management according to Chapter 8 and scheme drawings, demonstrating a Safety and Quality approach at all times.

Your role requires CSCS/NHSS qualifications, a full UK driving licence, and First Aid at Work, with a commitment to working safely on site. We offer competitive rewards and a supportive environment.

• Experience in traffic management operations and highways maintenance.
• Valid CSCS card and NHSS 12D M1-M6 qualifications are essential.
• Driving licence and First Aid at Work qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and remove traffic management in line with Chapter 8 and scheme drawings.
• Work under supervision while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Support with site inspections and reporting as needed.

We have the capability to deliver major surfacing and public realm infrastructure projects. Our specialist in-house traffic management division provides expert advice and support across the industry, whilst assisting with our own, in-house contracts.

About the role

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Operative to join our Traffic Management business, working in the Clutton, Bristol area

The successful candidate will work to instruction from supervisors, ensuring all traffic management is installed, maintained and removed in accordance with Chapter 8 and scheme drawings, whilst demonstrating by example a Safety and Quality approach that is without compromise.

About you

• Previous experience in traffic management operations
• Previous experience in highways maintenance
• Holder of valid CSCS card
• Holder of NHSS 12D M1-M6 qualifications essential
• Holder of LNHSS 12A/B desirable
• Holder of full valid UK driving license
• Holder of valid First Aid at Work qualification
