Job description

Are you looking for a role where no two days are the same? Want to support teams who bring complex engineering or operational projects to life? Are you looking for a role that gives you autonomy to deliver whilst working with highly skilled teams that will support your personal development?

Operations Support Technicians are vital to the work we do, providing support across technology, manufacturing and estates. Whichever area you're aligned to, we'll use your background and experience to match you with the department where you can make the greatest impact.

As an Operations Support Technician, you'll play an important role in helping our teams operate effectively. This is a hands-on position where you'll support engineers, operational teams and technical specialists by ensuring they have the equipment, resources and support they need to succeed. Your work will directly contribute to the delivery of important projects that help protect the nation.

We're looking for people who enjoy supporting others, taking ownership and finding practical solutions to challenges. You may come from a facilities, estates, IT, engineering, manufacturing or operational support background, or perhaps you've developed technical or practical skills through education, hobbies or personal projects. We're less interested in a specific career path and more interested in your attitude, curiosity and willingness to learn.

We'll provide the training and support you need to develop in the role and build your skills over time. This is a genuinely varied position where one day you could be preparing equipment for testing, sourcing parts, managing assets or supporting operational activities, while the next you may be assisting engineers with field testing or helping teams maintain safe and efficient working environments.
