Job summary

ASC Connections seeks an Operations Supervisor for its Redditch site. You will lead warehouse teams, oversee end-to-end operations from goods in to despatch, and drive training as the new facility expands. The role reports to the Operations Manager and offers clear career progression in a growing site.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in supervisory roles within warehouse/manufacturing, a strong H&S focus, and experience with ERP/WMS and MS Office. IOSH is desirable.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of warehouse or manufacturing supervisory/management experience.
• Experience with Health & Safety standards (IOSH qualification desirable).
• Experience with ERP/WMS and Microsoft Office.
• Strong planning skills and attention to detail; housekeeping and standards.
• Experience leading staff inductions, training, and investigations/discipline.
• Eligible and able to pass a basic Disclosure Scotland check.

Responsibilities

• Lead and engage warehouse team to maintain high morale and performance.
• Oversee goods in to despatch operations ensuring alignment with customer demand.
• Train and onboard new starters as site grows its headcount.
• Plan daily workloads and staffing to meet fast-paced needs.
• Manage HR processes including timekeeping, performance reviews, investigations and disciplinaries.
• Maintain strict Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental standards.

About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a well-established manufacturing and distribution business as they expand into a brand-new facility in Redditch. As the Operations Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role from day one in shaping operational processes, embedding culture, and driving headcount growth at this new site.

This is a key, high-visibility role reporting directly to the Operations Manager, offering genuine room for long-term career development as the facility expands.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Engagement: Inspire, mentor, and supervise warehouse team members to ensure high morale, excellent attendance, and optimal performance.
• Operational Flow: Oversee day-to-day operations from Goods In through to final despatch, ensuring order priorities and storage are aligned with customer demand.
• Site Growth & Onboarding: Conduct training and inductions for new starters as the site expands its operational headcount.
• Resource Planning: Schedule daily workloads and driver/staffing levels to meet fast-paced demands.
• People Management: Handle site HR processes including timekeeping, performance reviews, investigations, and formal disciplinary/grievance procedures.
• Health & Safety Excellence: Maintain strict adherence to H&S, Quality, and Environmental standards, ensuring a safe and organised working environment.

What We're Looking For

• Proven Leadership: At least 2 years of warehouse or manufacturing supervisory/management experience with strong, supportive man-management skills.
• H&S Conscious: A strong background in Health & Safety standards (an IOSH qualification is highly desirable).
• Systems Literate: Good working knowledge of ERP / Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office.
• Organised & Motivated: Exceptional planning skills, a keen eye for detail, and a pride-led approach to housekeeping and operational standards.
• HR Competency: Direct experience leading staff inductions, training, and formal disciplinary/investigation processes.
• Clearance: Must be eligible and able to pass a basic Disclosure Scotland check.
