Job summary

rag & bone, Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor to ensure smooth store operations and an exceptional customer experience. You will support management direction, enforce policies, and coordinate daily tasks on a flex schedule to meet business needs.

You will oversee inventory, maintenance, IT systems, and communications, partnering with store leadership to drive brand standards and efficient processes. The role emphasizes leadership, accountability, and a proactive approach to problem

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of retail experience in an operations or management role.
  • Ability to lift at least 30lbs, carry, push, pull, squat, kneel, twist, turn, climb, crawl, reach, and bend.
  • Availability to work per the needs of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Operational Excellence: Ensure store adherence to P & P and maintain knowledge of all P & P.
  • Inventory Management: Supervise receiving/transfer/RTV, maximize storage, bi-annual inventory, cycle counts, manage discrepancies.
  • Maintenance: Ensure assets are well represented and maintained per brand standards, coordinate maintenance issues.
  • Communications: Disseminate corporate communications to the store team and communicate operational initiatives.
  • IT Systems: Serve as store expert in core systems, educate staff on POS, troubleshoot with IT.

Overview

The Operations Supervisor role is essential to the functionality and efficiency of the store. Their core purpose is to maintain the store operations in order to facilitate a seamless customer experience. This individual is responsible for supporting company and management initiatives/direction while ensuing adherence to the policies and procedures as outlined by the organization. Operations Supervisors are scheduled to a flex schedule and hours are given based on the needs of the business.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
Maintain Operational Excellence
  • Policy and Procedure (P & P)
    • Ensure store adherence to company P & P
    • Maintain a high level of knowledge and understanding of all P & P
  • Inventory Management
    • Supervise the receiving/transfer/rtv processes
    • Ensure maximization of storage and capacity in all product/supply categories
    • Partner with store management team to facilitate the bi-annual inventory take process
    • Execute corporately directed cycle counts
    • Actively manage inventory discrepancies
    • Contribute to the achievement of low inventory shrink by ensuring consistent execution at all inventory touch points (receiving/transfers/rtv/sales)
  • Maintenance
    • Ensure all company assets are well represented and are maintained in accordance with brand standards
    • Ensure timely and consistent communication and follow up for all store maintenance issues
  • Communications
    • Responsible for disseminating corporate communication to the store team
    • Communicate operational initiatives and procedures to store team

    • Educate store staff on POS and core operational systems
    • Troubleshoot technology issues in partnership with corporate IT team.
