Job summary

DP World is recruiting an Operations Supervisor for our site in Bicester. You will lead the physical distribution process from goods in to dispatch, ensuring reliable service while developing your team and managing attendance and conduct.

The role operates on a rotational shift pattern, demanding strong H&S performance, KPI delivery and process improvements to drive efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations management desired.
• Strong health & safety standards knowledge.
• Ability to lead and develop a team to meet KPIs/SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the warehouse distribution process from goods in to dispatch.
• Ensure KPIs/SLAs are met and H&S standards are upheld.
• Review processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Coach and manage team performance, including absence and conduct.
• Communicate briefs to team and stakeholders; promote 2-way feedback.
• Maintain 5S standards and workplace organisation.
• Foster flexibility to meet customer demand; support senior management.

DP World are currently recruiting for an Operations Supervisor to join our fast paced site based in Bicester. The Operations Supervisor will lead, support and develop the physical distribution process within the warehouse, from goods in through to dispatch. To provide a reliable and safe service and to be flexible in our approach to our clients and their requirements. To provide the first level of management of team members within the operations, managing absence, conduct in line with the Company’s code of ethics.

This is on a rotational shift pattern. Week 1 is Monday to Friday 6am/2pm, and Week 2 is Monday to Friday 2pm/10pm.

About the role:

• Ensure the team are delivering and maintaining the site’s KPIs and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Ensure that the teams are working to the highest standard of H&S
• Review process improvements to increase operational efficiencies
• Manage team performance to ensure operations is running smoothly
• Communicate team briefs, promote and maintain visual control charts and ensure 2-way participation improvement activities.
• To communicate effectively with senior management and key stakeholders
• Managing and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness at all times using 5s concept
• Demonstrate flexibility in all areas in order to meet customer demand
• Maintain highest level of H&S on site reporting any incidents, hazards, accidents, unsafe behaviour or practices occurring on site
• To coach and develop direct reports by actively engaging staff and promoting a positive working climate through regular interaction and assessment.
• Take responsibility of people management of your team members, including managing absence, managing performance, training and employee relations.
