Job summary

The Clancy Group is seeking a proactive Planner to join our South West Water support team. You will coordinate operational works, keep jobs on track and ensure teams have the information and permits required to work efficiently.

Key duties include planning, turning requests into clear instructions, monitoring progress, and managing streetworks permits and notices with one.network. Strong IT skills and regulatory knowledge are essential in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning, scheduling or operational coordination in utilities or construction.
• Experience of streetworks and managing permits through one.network or similar systems.
• Understanding of NRSWA requirements.
• Highly organised with ability to manage competing priorities and communicate with a range of people.
• Good IT skills, attention to detail and a proactive, customer‑focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule work for operational teams using internal systems and planning tools.
• Turn work requests into clear, accurate work instructions.
• Monitor jobs from start to finish, track progress and update systems.
• Liaise with operational colleagues and customers to coordinate activities and resolve issues.
• Prepare, submit and track streetworks permits and notices using one.network and internal systems.
• Check work windows and road restrictions to align with permit requirements and regulations.
• Ensure planning records, permits and paperwork are completed accurately and on time.
