Eastern Multi-academy Trust (EMAT) is seeking an organised Operations Officer to support the day-to-day running of Southery Academy. The role focuses on efficient processes, coordination, and high-quality support for staff, students and visitors within a busy school environment.

The Trust values safeguarding, professional development, and flexible working arrangements, including full-time, part-time, or job-share options to fit the needs of the role and academy community.

Qualifications

  • Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Business Admin/equivalent qualification or recent high level office experience.
  • Experience in a busy general office environment.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience coordinating/managing wider functions.
  • Understanding of education, preferably primary.
  • Ability to prioritise and work under pressure at key times.
  • Able to produce reports from systems.
  • Confidence in using IT systems and software relevant to the role.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and supporting pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

  • Support the smooth day-to-day running of the Academy.
  • Coordinate administrative tasks and wider functions.
  • Produce reports from school information systems.
  • Support staff, students and visitors.
  • Contribute to safeguarding and wellbeing initiatives.

Job description

We are seeking an Operations Officer to play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our Academy. This rewarding position sits at the heart of school operations, ensuring efficient processes, effective coordination, and high-quality support for staff, students, and visitors. Working as part of a collaborative and dedicated team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the success of the Academy. If you are passionate about continuous improvement, have excellent attention to detail, and enjoy working in a fast-paced educational setting, we would love to hear from you. We welcome applications from individuals interested in full-time which is up to 37 hours, part-time, flexible or job-share arrangements.
