Job Introduction

Make a Difference Where It Matters Most

Dudley Council is transforming the way we deliver services for our residents, communities and businesses. We are seeking a number of exceptional Strategic Operational Leads who will play a key role in shaping the future of housing and homelessness services across the borough.

About the roles

The Housing & Homelessness service is recruiting Operations Managers to support the delivery of several key functions.

These are exciting senior leadership opportunities for experienced and motivated professionals who can lead high-performing teams, drive service improvement and deliver excellent outcomes for our residents. The successful postholders will report to the Associate Director of Housing Management and Tenant Engagement and provide operational leadership across a range of important services.

The Operations Manager of Tenant Engagement & Regulatory Compliance will shape how residents influence services, ensure compliance with the latest consumer standards and drive a culture of transparency, accountability and continuous improvement across our housing services.

The post holder will be responsible for the management and operational leadership for tenant engagement, tenant satisfaction measures and regulatory compliance across the housing service. This post will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the Council meets the expectations of the Regulator of Social Housing Consumer Standards namely the Tenant Involvement and Accountability Standard whilst creating meaningful opportunities for tenants to influence decision making and service delivery. This post requires some evening work.

Why Join Us?

You’ll be joining a council with ambitious plans for improvement and transformation, where your leadership can directly influence services that matter to thousands of residents.

We offer:

  • The opportunity to shape and improve critical housing and community services.
  • A collaborative and supportive leadership environment.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements.

These are not conventional 9-to-5 roles. The services include statutory responsibilities and functions that operate outside normal office hours. Successful candidates will therefore need to demonstrate the flexibility, resilience and leadership required to respond when operational demands require it.
