About the roles

The Housing & Homelessness service is recruiting Operations Managers to support the delivery of several key functions.

These are exciting senior leadership opportunities for experienced and motivated professionals who can lead high-performing teams, drive service improvement and deliver excellent outcomes for our residents. The successful postholders will report to Associate Director of Homelessness Strategy and Re-settlement and provide operational leadership across a range of important services.

The Operations Manager of Homelessness & Resettlement willprovide operational leadership to a large, multi-disciplinary team responsible for delivering the Council's homelessness service, temporary accommodation and support for people who need housing assistance.

This is a complex and highly pressurised area of work, involving statutory responsibilities and services that operate outside normal office hours. You will need to be resilient, confident in managing politically sensitive and emotive issues, and prepared to work flexibly when the needs of the service require it.

These are not conventional 9-to-5 roles. The services include statutory responsibilities and functions that operate outside normal office hours . Successful candidates will therefore need to demonstrate the flexibility, resilience and leadership required to respond when operational demands require it .
