Job summary

Sheffield Hallam University in Sheffield is seeking a Grade 7 Security Manager to lead a frontline security team within the Soft Facilities Management service. The role focuses on delivering a safe, secure, efficient and customer-focused environment, driving operational excellence and developing team performance.

You will be enrolled into the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) and may opt out to USS. The university supports flexible working arrangements, including job-share where applicable.

Job description

Grade 7 - £40,704 to £45,641 per annum (depending on experience)

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and inspire a frontline security team within the Soft Facilities Management service, playing a key role in delivering a safe, secure, efficient and customer-focused environment. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, lead and develop team performance, and ensure resources are used effectively to deliver value for money. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, service quality and professional standards, this role offers the opportunity to make a real difference to the security operation, enhance the customer experience and shape the ongoing development of the service.

You will be contractually enrolled into the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) one of the largest and most generous defined benefit pension schemes in the country.

If you are currently a member of the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS), you can choose to opt out of the LGPS and remain in the USS. Please contact the Pensions team to discuss options available.
