Key Responsibilities
Local Market Research & User Insights
- Continuously track social behaviour trends, competitor activity, and cultural trends among UK Gen Z (especially university students).
- Produce regular local user insight reports through online surveys, offline focus groups, and user interviews.
- Provide localisation recommendations to the product team (e.g., UK user preferences for interaction design, visual style, feature prioritisation).
Online & Offline Event Planning and Execution
- Plan and launch online campaigns tailored to UK local culture (e.g., campus idol incubation programs, topic/hashtag challenges).
- Plan and execute offline events (e.g., campus club partnerships, city exploration competitions, watch parties), owning the full process from concept design and venue coordination to materials prep and on-site execution.
- Build and maintain partnerships with UK university clubs, student unions, and local KOCs (Key Opinion Consumers).
- Track event performance data (participation rate, UGC output, conversion funnel), produce post-event reports, and continuously optimise.
Social Content Ecosystem Development
- Plan social media campaigns around UK cultural moments (e.g., Notting Hill Carnival, Pride Month, back-to-school season).
- Identify and maintain a pipeline of local KOC/KOL resources, driving creator onboarding and content output.
Local Operations System Building
- Establish local operations SOPs (event execution playbooks, social media operating standards, KOC management processes, etc.)
- Work closely with HQ product, engineering, and design teams to drive the implementation of localisation feature requirements.
About you
- Bachelor's degree or above, with 2–4 years of experience in operations, marketing, or event planning.
- Strong understanding of UK Gen Z (18–25) culture and social habits; experience operating within UK university student communities is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin (required for daily communication with the China team).
- Full-cycle experience planning and executing both online and offline events.
- Familiar with the operating logic and content trends of major social platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and Threads.
- Data-driven mindset, able to evaluate operational performance through data and optimise strategy accordingly.
- Highly self-motivated, able to independently drive projects from 0 to 1.
Nice to have
- Experience in local operations for a social app or content platform.
- Existing resources with UK university clubs, KOCs/MCNs.
- Experience building a local team from 0 to 1.
- Proficient in using AI tools to support daily work.
- Experience with tools such as Canva, Meta Business Suite, etc.
