Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking an Operations Manager for Argus Fire, based from our Stourbridge office with UK coverage. You will oversee the projects team from design to handover, ensuring QA, H&S, and environmental standards are met while achieving financial targets.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive experience in sprinkler contracting, and excellent stakeholder management to maintain client satisfaction and drive on-time delivery.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education such as HNC/ONC/BTEC/A-level.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in contract supervision/management in the sprinkler industry.
  • Significant managerial experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of the company, products and processes.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills, negotiating skills, technical competence, sound decision maker.

We are currently looking for an Operations Manager to join our team here at Argus Fire, to be based from our Stourbridge office, covering the UK.

Job Description Operations Manager
  • Ultimate responsibility for the day to day running / management of their projects team and their specific projects.
  • Responsible for overseeing their project team's workload from pre-construction / design through construction to commissioning and handover in accordance with the company's QA procedures (Contract Practice Guides) and to ensure project specific goals and deadlines are achieved.
  • Responsible for ensuring the Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental requirements are met by their project team in line with procedures outlined in the Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Manual.
  • Ensure financial targets are met by their project team.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and investigate and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Ensure that their project team are appropriately motivated and trained.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with all directors and the management team to ensure that there is effective co-ordination of all company activities in support of overall business objectives.
Required Experience / Skills
  • Post-secondary education, HNC, ONC, BTEC or ‘A' Level
  • Minimum 10 years' experience within a contract supervision and management role within the sprinkler industry encompassing design, contracting & cost management.
  • Significant experience of the industry.
  • Significant managerial experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of the company and its products and processes.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills, negotiating skills, technical competence, sound decision maker.
  • Numerate, analytical / problem solving, motivational, attention to detail, good planner, well organised, resourceful.
