ROLE: Operations Manager – Multi-Site Food Production

SALARY: £40k + performance-based bonus + car allowance/company car

LOCATION: Covering sites in Wimborne, Salisbury, and Portsmouth

THE COMPANY:

We are working with a leading seafood business with a proud heritage of supplying top-quality products to hotels, restaurants, and foodservice providers across the South for over 25 years.

With continued growth and multiple production sites, they are now seeking a skilled and proactive Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations across five key locations.

WORKING HOURS:

Monday to Friday, with flexibility required for travel between sites.

DUTIES:

• Oversee and coordinate operations across 5 sites in Wimborne, Salisbury, and Portsmouth (head office, production facilities, wholesale units and a retail store)
• Ensure operational targets are consistently achieved in line with budgets and company standards
• Drive improvements in workflow, efficiency, and resource planning
• Uphold and develop robust food safety, health & safety, and quality systems across all sites
• Monitor and report on key KPIs and financial performance
• Support and develop site-based managers and teams, promoting a positive, accountable culture
• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and senior leadership to align site goals with broader business objectives
• Lead initiatives for process improvement and cost control
• Ensure legal and regulatory compliance across all operational areas

THE CANDIDATE:

The successful applicant will have:

• Proven experience in a multi-site operations role, preferably within food manufacturing or distribution
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams remotely
• In-depth knowledge of food safety, production planning, and compliance requirements
• A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites as required

Qualifications such as HACCP Level 3 or equivalent are highly desirable.
