Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee refurbishment and extension projects in Dorset and the South West. Based in Bournemouth, you will coordinate site teams, manage programmes and budgets, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

You will lead Project Managers, build strong client and subcontractor relationships, and drive continuous improvement and operational performance across the business in a busy, contract‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Operations Manager, Contracts Manager, or Senior Project Manager in construction.
• Strong background in commercial refurbishment and extension projects.
• Experience delivering projects in education, healthcare, heritage, or public sector environments is desirable.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and proactive problem-solving.

Operations Manager

Location: Bournemouth, Dorset
Salary: £50,000-£60,000 DOE

Our client is a well-established Dorset-based contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high‑quality commercial refurbishment and extension projects across the South.

Working across sectors including Education, NHS, Heritage, Local Authority, and Commercial, they are looking to appoint an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the successful delivery of multiple projects and lead operational performance across the business.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for managing the operational delivery of a range of refurbishment and extension projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
