Job summary

Henley Chase is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Contracts Manager to lead multiple construction projects from inception through handover, balancing office duties with site visits.

You'll work across healthcare, education and residential schemes, ensuring safety, programme, and budget adherence while coordinating clients, consultants and subcontractors.

This permanent, full-time role offers progression within a growing contractor.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager or Contracts Manager within the construction industry.
  • Experience delivering refurbishment, extension, and new build projects.
  • Experience across healthcare, education, or residential sectors is advantageous.
  • Strong planning and programming skills with ability to produce programmes and schedules.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously from inception to handover.
  • Produce and manage programmes of works and detailed schedules.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, quality, and programme performance.
  • Carry out regular site visits to ensure health & safety and quality standards are maintained.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Resolve project issues efficiently to maintain programme delivery.
  • Support the office with project planning, procurement, reporting, and general operational duties.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with contractual and company requirements.

Salary: 65,000 - 70,000 (DOE)

About the Role

Due to continued growth and a healthy pipeline of secured work, we are looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager / Contracts Manager to join a well-established and expanding construction contractor.

This is a varied role where you'll manage multiple projects from pre-construction through to completion while supporting the day-to-day operations of the business. You'll split your time between the office and site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Projects include a diverse mix of:

  • Healthcare facilities
  • Schools and academies
  • Residential developments
  • Extensions
  • Full refurbishment projects
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously from inception to handover.
  • Produce and manage programmes of works and detailed schedules.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple live projects.
  • Commercial awareness and strong problem-solving ability.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
