  • Support services in preparation for CQC inspections and respond to any areas for improvement.
  • Review service data, audits, and incident reports to identify trends and address concerns.
  • Work with Property, HR, and IT teams to troubleshoot site level issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and reducing escalation burden on senior leadership.
  • Undertake monthly audits for key services and monitor completion of action plans, relieving the Senior Area Manager from direct oversight.
  • Line‑manage and support Location Managers and Team Leaders to lead effective, motivated teams.

  • Coordinate with HR on recruitment gaps, absence trends, and disciplinary matters, offering support with solutions.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, empowerment, and reflective practice.

Risk Management and Safeguarding

  • Act as an escalation point for safeguarding concerns and serious incidents.
  • Chair investigations and contribute to and implement robust risk management protocols.
  • Ensure learning from incidents is embedded across services.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with families, social workers, advocates, and other key stakeholders.
  • Promote the reputation of Venus Healthcare through transparent, respectful communication.

Service Development

  • Lead the implementation of new systems, processes, and initiatives that enhance service quality.
  • Support the mobilisation of new placements and services in line with PBS values and individualized support planning.
  • Support pre‑admission planning and integration for new service users, including environmental readiness and staff capability checks, to ensure smooth transitions and mitigate risk.
  • Work closely with internal clinical, PBS, and therapeutic teams to ensure joined‑up care delivery.
Person Specification:
  • At least 5 years’ experience in an operational management role within adult social care.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
  • Right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Adult Care (or willingness to complete).
