Job summary

The Beefy Boys in the South West is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to drive performance across multiple sites. You’ll walk the sites, spot issues, and mobilize the teams to deliver consistently excellent food, service and atmosphere.

You’ll lead General Managers, manage numbers (labour, food costs, wastage), recruit and develop managers, ensure safety and compliance, and travel regularly between sites in the South West.

Qualifications

• Proven experience overseeing at least 8 hospitality sites.
• Experience as a senior Operations Manager, Area Manager, or Regional Manager in a high-volume hospitality business.
• Experience leading multiple General Managers and driving profitability.
• Strong commercial head with ability to turn operations into a profitable business.
• Solid understanding of food safety, health & safety and compliance.
• Willingness to travel regularly between sites in the South West.
• Full UK driving licence and access to reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Own the operational performance of our South West sites and ensure they are firing on all cylinders.
• Lead, coach and challenge our General Managers and senior teams to be the best they can be.
• Maintain Beefy Boys standards across burgers, service, cleanliness and vibe.
• Spend time on the ground in restaurants, not just behind a laptop.
• Monitor numbers: sales, labour, food costs, wastage and profitability.
• Spot problems early and drive practical solutions.
• Build great teams, develop future leaders and ensure right people are in the right places.
• Recruit, train and develop management teams.
• Ensure sites operate safely, legally and to high standards.
• Work with senior leadership to bring new ideas and initiatives to life.
• Keep the Beefy Boys culture alive across all sites and deliver excellent hospitality.

Operations Manager - South West

We're looking for an Operations Manager who knows how to get shit done.

Beefy Boys is growing, and we're looking for a seriously good Operations Manager to help us keep raising the bar across our South West sites.

This isn't a desk job where you spend your days buried in spreadsheets. We need someone who loves hospitality, loves people and loves being in the thick of it. Someone who can walk into a busy site, spot what's working, spot what isn't, and get the team moving in the right direction.

You'll be responsible for a minimum of 8 Beefy Boys sites across the South West, working closely with our General Managers and leadership teams to make sure every restaurant delivers the same ridiculously good Beefy Boys experience.

What you'll be doing

• Own the operational performance of our South West sites and make sure they're firing on all cylinders.
• Lead, coach and challenge our General Managers and senior teams to be the best they can be.
• Make sure the Beefy Boys standards don't slip, whether it's the burgers, the service, the cleanliness or the vibe.
• Get out there and spend time in the restaurants. We want you on the ground, not stuck behind a laptop.
• Keep an eye on the numbers, sales, labour, food costs, wastage, profitability and everything in between.
• Spot problems before they become problems and get stuck into finding solutions.
• Build great teams, develop future leaders and make sure we've got the right people in the right places.
• Help recruit, train and develop our management teams.
• Make sure our sites are operating safely, legally and to the highest possible standards.
• Work with the senior leadership team to bring new ideas, systems and initiatives to life.
• Keep the Beefy Boys culture alive across every site, great food, great people, great hospitality and absolutely no cutting corners.
• Use customer feedback, data and your own experience to constantly find ways to make things better.

The Must-Haves

We're not looking for someone who just has the right job title on their CV. We want someone who has actually done it.

You'll need:

• Proven experience overseeing at least 8 hospitality sites.
• Experience as a senior Operations Manager, Area Manager, Regional Manager or similar within a high-volume hospitality or restaurant business.
• Experience leading, developing and holding multiple General Managers accountable.
• A strong commercial head, you understand the numbers and know how to turn good operations into a profitable business.
• A track record of maintaining high standards across multiple locations.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume hospitality environment where things can get pretty bloody busy.
• A solid understanding of food safety, health & safety and compliance.
• The ability to lead from the front, make decisions quickly and not shit yourself when things get tough.
• Brilliant communication skills and the ability to build relationships with everyone from a new starter to a senior manager.
• A genuine passion for developing people and building cracking teams.
• A hands-on approach. You're not afraid to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in.
• The ability and willingness to travel regularly between our South West sites.
• A full UK driving licence and access to reliable transport.
• And most importantly, you give a shit. You care about the food, the people, the customers and making Beefy Boys the best it can possibly be.
