The Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining the mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and process assets of the effluent treatment plant on a client site. The technician will actively use a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for onsite maintenance and monitor plant operations, implementing operational changes as needed.
The role involves preparing the plant for planned and corrective maintenance, conducting analytical testing, and inputting data into computer systems to monitor plant performance. The technician will also carry out complex maintenance tasks such as cleaning, calibrating instruments, servicing pumps, and replacing valves to ensure optimal asset condition.
Ensuring the assets operate at peak performance and the safe, seamless operation of the ETP according to regulatory standards is essential. The role includes working on a standby rota to respond to alarms outside normal hours and during weekends. Full process training will be provided, but candidates should have demonstrable experience in operating and maintaining industrial equipment.
