Job summary

Net Zero Evolution is recruiting a Solar PV Maintenance Electrician to service commercial solar PV installations with a focus on uptime and safety. The role blends home-based field work across Reading and surrounding areas with field visits to customer sites, delivering fault finding, maintenance and reporting.

The position offers training in battery storage and EV charging, a company vehicle, and benefits as part of a growing renewable energy leader in the UK.

Qualifications

You’ll take ownership of planned preventative maintenance, fault finding, inspection, testing and repairs across a diverse portfolio of commercial solar PV installations. Working independently at customer sites throughout the South of England, you’ll ensure renewable energy systems remain safe, compliant and performing at their best. About you

You’ll be a qualified electrician holding a recognised Level 3 electrical qualification and current 18th Edition certification, with practical experience installing, commissioning or maintaining commercial solar PV systems. You’ll be confident carrying out electrical fault finding, inspection and testing across AC and DC systems, interpreting technical drawings and producing accurate maintenance reports.

You’ll enjoy working independently, have a professional approach when dealing with customers and be willing to travel throughout the South of England. Additional qualifications such as Inspection and Testing, ECS Gold Card, Solar PV certification or experience with battery storage, EV charging infrastructure, inverter diagnostics or monitoring platforms would be advantageous but are not essential.
