Job summary

Collctiv is seeking a Director of Operations to own governance, compliance, people, and financial infrastructure. You will not be a coordinator but the accountable owner, building processes and documentation that outlive you. This role is designed to grow into COO as the company scales.

You will report to the CEO and CTO, shape regulatory strategy, and partner across functions to drive operational excellence. Equity, growth, and a fast-paced fintech environment await.

Qualifications

• Experience in regulated payments or fintech.
• Proven ownership of operations and governance.
• Ability to draft and review contracts/regulatory documents.
• Strong people management and cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own governance, compliance, people, and financial infrastructure of the business; make decisive, enduring improvements.
• Build and maintain internal documentation and playbooks to avoid single points of failure.
• Lead day-to-day AML and financial crime compliance programmes and liaise with regulators as needed.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and board reporting; partner with external accountants as required.
• Represent the Organiser in operational decisions and align product roadmaps with business needs.
• Mentor and develop a growing team; scale operations toward COO readiness.
