BoobyBiome is transforming infant health by delivering the breast milk microbiome to all babies. Our research-driven innovations aim to improve early-life health outcomes. BoobyBiome's first product is a baby bottle device designed to protect the beneficial bacteria in expressed breast milk. We are also developing a synbiotic for formula-fed infants.

The role:

We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Product Operations Lead to oversee the procurement and supply chain of our products, managing and building the operations function and leading the program delivery of our commercial launch. This role is ideal for someone with a background in Operations, Procurement, Logistics and Fulfilment, with experience in hardware product delivery acting as Operations stakeholder, who can own and streamline our supply chain to support the business go-to-market execution. You will work closely with the founding team and external partners to ensure successful rollout and post-launch optimisation.

You will report directly to the CTO, with a dotted line to the CEO and COO. This role may evolve to include budget ownership, P&L responsibilities, and the opportunity to build a team as operations scale.

Manufacturing and procurement

  • Lead Request For Information and Request For Quotation processes, supplier evaluation, contract negotiation and Master Service Agreements.
  • Own demand planning, stock forecasting, and purchasing processes.
  • Raise POs and coordinate export, import and inbound logistics.
  • Maintain supplier relationships and manage manufacturing timelines and quality oversight.

Logistics and fulfilment

  • Oversee tenders for 3PL, freight forwarders and carriers.
  • Negotiate Service Level Agreements (SLA), onboard partners, and ensure targets are met.
  • Support SKU tracking, inventory levels, labelling, carton selection, and product compliance in logistics.
  • Work with the product team on packaging requirements and downstream implications (e.g. palletisation, shipping tests).

Business operations

  • Build and own launch delivery timelines and project plans (Gantt, milestone tracking).
  • Produce executive reporting on launch readiness, supplier status and operational KPIs.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance and product teams to align operational processes with broader business goals.
  • Monitor costs, budget adherence, and highlight risks to senior leadership.

The candidate:

Essential qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or higher is a plus.
  • 5+ years’ experience in hardware product operations, preferably in healthtech, consumer goods or medical device sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience managing global manufacturing, procurement, and fulfilment operations.
  • Skilled in contract negotiation, SLA setup, inventory forecasting and budgeting.
  • Proficient in logistics platforms, inventory and supply chain tools, and Electronic Data Interchange integrations.
  • Excellent project management and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced startup environment.

Desirable qualifications and experience:

  • Knowledge of consumer product regulatory requirements, especially infant products or Class I medical devices.
  • Experience with D2C and/or B2B sales operations.
  • Knowledge of breastfeeding and infant nutrition markets.
  • Employee share option plan.
  • Career growth and development opportunities in a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Enhanced flexibility for remote working arrangements and family commitments.
  • Opportunity to work on a revolutionary product that can significantly impact infant health.

How to Apply:

Interested candidates should submit their resume and a cover letter detailing their relevant experience and why they are interested in joining BoobyBiome. Please send your application to info@boobybiome.com . Due to a high volume of applications we may not be able to respond to everyone. BoobyBiome is an equal opportunity employer.
